Cross country schedule announced

SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA cross country program's 2018 schedule has been released and the slate features three regular season meets in the state of Texas, one at Stanford and postseason competition in Florida, Texas and Wisconsin.

"We are excited about this schedule," said cross country coach David Hartman. "It has the appropriate number of challenging meets that will test the team as they prepare for the championship portion of the season."

The Roadrunners will open the campaign on Friday, Aug. 31, at the Aggie Opener in College Station and will follow four weeks later with a trip to California for the Stanford Invitational (Sept. 29).
UTSA will travel across the Alamo City to the UIW Invitational on Oct. 6 before closing its regular season on Oct. 13 at the Arturo Barrios Invitational at Texas A&M.

Postseason competition begins on Oct. 27 in Boca Raton, Fla., with the Conference USA Championships. The Roadrunners men finished seventh at last year's league meet, while the women were ninth.

Texas A&M hosts the NCAA South Central Regional meet on Nov. 9, and the 2018 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships are set for Nov. 17 in Madison, Wisc.
