NEW ORLEANS — The UTSA men's and women's cross country teams have been named All-Academic Teams for the second straight year by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Under the direction of cross country coach David Hartman and UTSA Director of Track & Field/Cross Country Aaron Fox, the UTSA women earned a spot on the team after posting a 3.41 cumulative GPA through the Fall 2022 semester, while the men logged a 3.18 cumulative GPA.
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period. For a complete list of 2022 USTFCCCA Cross Country Academic Awards, please visit ustfccca.org.
Last summer, the UTSA men's and women's track & field teams were honored with the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team award, while 11 Roadrunners — Bashiru Abdullahi, Oreoluwa Adamson, Lacee Barnes, Ingeborg Gruenwald, Sam Healy, Trevion McCalla, Joel McFarlane, Jemuel Miller, Diego Pettorossi, Dennis Phillips and Grant Szalek — were tabbed USTFCCCA All-Academic Athletes.
