NORMAN, Okla. — The UTSA men's golf program has been named an All-Academic Team by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) for the fifth straight year.
The Roadrunners received the award for posting a team GPA of 3.0-or-better after wrapping up their first season under head coach Matt Wernecke earlier this year. A total of 266 schools across six divisions earned a GCAA team academic award.
This honor comes on the heels of a trio of players being named GCAA All-America Scholars yesterday. Christian Fanfelle collected the All-America Scholar award for the fourth time in his career, Hunter Bott earned his third career honor, while David Harrison was lauded for the second straight season.
