UTSA announces 2024 cross country schedule

SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA Roadrunners officially released their 2024 cross country schedule on Friday, with two regular season meets contested in Texas, including opening-week competition in northeast San Antonio.

UTSA cross country will kick off the 2024 season just off I-35 in northeast San Antonio, heading to the UIW Invitational on Sept. 13 at the Windcrest Golf Club.

Traveling outside of the region to close out the month, the Roadrunners will head to southern California and San Marcos, Calif. to the Cougar Challenge, held Sept. 28 at Cal State San Marcos’ on-campus CSUSM Championship Course.

Back to the Lone Star State and on to Texas A&M’s Arturo Barrios Invitational on October 18, giving the Roadrunners an in-season preview of the Regional site at Watts Cross Country Course. This will be the fourth consecutive year for the Roadrunners, who have seen the meet become a nearly annual fixture.

Championship season starts in Wichita, Kan. with the American Athletic Conference Championships on Nov. 2, hosted by Wichita State at L.W. Clapp Park. The NCAA South Central Region Championships follow on Nov. 15, back at Texas A&M’s course in College Station. The Roadrunners will vie for team and individual qualifications to the NCAA Cross Country Championships, set for Nov. 23 at the University of Wisconsin’s Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course in Madison, Wis.
