SAN ANTONIO – The longest trip of the season is coming up this weekend for the UTSA men’s and women’s cross country teams, heading to San Marcos, California for the Cougar Challenge on Saturday, Sept. 28.
Running on the campus course that starts at Cal State San Marcos’ Mangrum Track & Field Complex, the men’s 8k is set to start at 8:30 a.m. Pacific Time for seven Roadrunners, followed by the women’s 6k at 9:10 a.m. PT. for eight UTSA runners.

Last time out in the UIW Invitational, OJ Ruiz led the Roadrunners men with an eighth-place finish in the 4-mile race, while Jadelyn Malesich took the top spot for the women in the 5k at 29th.
UTSA’s next date on the course is back in the Lone Star State, traveling to College Station for Texas A&M’s Arturo Barrios Invitational on Oct. 18.
