SAN ANTONIO – On Tuesday, head UTSA softball coach Vann Stuedeman officially announced the 2025 schedule, as the Roadrunners will play a 56-game slate, including 33 at Roadrunner Field. Season tickets are currently available at goUTSA.com/sbtickets and start at $65.
The ‘Runners will open the 2025 campaign, hosting the first of three home tournaments, with the UTSA Invitational seeing Weber State, SIU-Edwardsville, and UMass Lowell in Military City USA from Feb. 7-9.
A week later, the squad will head to Hammond, Louisiana, for the 2025 Lion Classic, hosted by Southeastern Louisiana. Along with the hosts, they’ll face South Dakota and Mississippi Valley State across Feb. 14-16. The Roadrunners will remain on the road, with a Feb. 18 bout with Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on the docket.
UTSA will then host the Roadrunner Classic, as Akron, Michigan State, Omaha, St. Thomas (MN) and Sam Houston visit between Feb. 20-23, ahead of the Birds Up Bash that invites Boise State, Le Moyne and Houston on Feb. 28-Mar. 2.
Conference play officially begins at Roadrunner Field with East Carolina scheduled from Mar. 7-9, before a five-game road swing featuring nonconference matchups with UT Arlington (Mar. 11) and Lipscomb (Mar. 18), bookending an AAC series with Memphis across Mar. 14-16. The ‘Runners welcome Wichita State on Mar. 21-23 and will remain at home for a second contest with Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Mar. 25.
The first of two Battle of I-35 games with Texas State is set for Mar. 26 in San Marcos, and UTSA will continue the week back in San Antonio as they face Florida Atlantic between Mar. 28-30. Another road trip awaits not long after, with Prairie View A&M (Apr. 1), North Texas (Apr. 4-6) and Baylor (Apr. 9) awaiting.
UAB comes to town from Apr. 11-13 and Texas State on Apr. 15. After a quick visit to Charlotte (Apr. 17-19), UTSA will wrap up the home slate with a midweek against Tarleton on Apr. 23 and a series with Tulsa from Apr. 25-27.
The season concludes in Tampa, as UTSA closes things out against South Florida on May 2-4 before the American Athletic Conference Championships, which spans May 7-10, also in Tampa.
