IRVING, Texas – Officials from the American Athletic Conference office announced on Monday the seeds and pairings for the upcoming AAC Men’s Tennis Championships in Memphis. The UTSA men’s tennis team (11-10) was selected as the No. 6 seed and will face off with No. 11 Tulane (5-16) in the first round on April 17 in Memphis, Tennessee.
The Roadrunners finished the regular season at 11-10, rolling into the tournament with a four-match win streak in progress. Seeds for the championships were determined by the ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings through matches of Sunday, April 13. The men’s championship begins at Memphis’ Leftwich Tennis Center on Thursday’s, April 17, first-round matches and continues through the Sunday, April 20, final. The winner of the men’s championship will earn The American’s automatic bid to the NCAA Division I Tennis Championships.
The Roadrunners are scheduled to face 11th-seeded Tulane in the first round on April 17 at 2 p.m. The winner will move on to face third-seeded Florida Atlantic (10-8) on April 18 at 10 a.m.
