SAN ANTONIO—The UTSA softball team will conclude the regular season this weekend as they visit Tampa, Florida, for a three-game American Athletic Conference series against South Florida beginning on Friday at 3 p.m. CT inside the USF Softball Stadium. Competition will continue at 4 p.m. on Saturday, ahead of the finale Sunday at 3 p.m.
The Roadrunners (21-30, 6-18 The American) are fresh off a series victory over Tulsa that allowed the squad to wrap up the season with a winning home record for the first time since the 2019 campaign. Additionally, one more win for UTSA would represent the most for the program since the 2015 season when they compiled a 36-18 record with a 16-7 mark in conference play.
Freshman Ava Eldridge starred for UTSA last week, claiming AAC Pitcher of the Week honors after going 3-0 with a 1.29 ERA over 21.2 innings of action. Senior Crislyne Moreno was red-hot at the plate, hitting .313 with an OPS of 1.166. She batted two doubles with two home runs for 13 total bases and a squad-high three RBIs.
Sophomore Kalee Rochinski ranks sixth in the NCAA with 18 runners caught stealing and is also sixth on the national hit by pitch leader board after being plunked 16 times.
The Bulls (38-14-1, 17-6-1 The American) enter the weekend sitting second in the conference and last took down third-place North Texas to climb the ladder.
As a team, USF is inside the top-25 in several statistics, including hit by pitch (3rd – 57), sacrifice flies (7th – 24), sacrifice bunts (8th – 49), double plays (10th – 27), doubles (16th – 83) and triples (25th – 15).

At the plate, seven different squad members hold batting averages over .300, with Alexa Galligiani pacing the team at .367. Callie Ortiz-Martinez has launched a team-high 10 home runs, with Josie Foreman and Alex Wilkes each logging nine.
