SAN ANTONIO – On Monday, head UTSA women’s basketball coach Karen Aston announced that sophomore Taylor Ross and freshman Sema Udo will miss the 2025-26 season due to injuries suffered in the offseason.
Ross helped the team to an American Conference regular season championship as a freshman, appearing in 23 games and scoring 50 points with 49 rebounds and 12 blocks. She recorded a season-high seven points on Nov. 29, 2024, against Towson and had a sensational defensive game against East Carolina on Feb. 12, 2025, when she swatted three shots.
Udo, meanwhile, signed with the team in fall of 2024, and was set to enter her freshman season. She won two First Team All-District accolades at Plano East High School and was team MVP in her sophomore and junior seasons while hoisting a District Championship.
