SAN ANTONIO — Caile Hogan and Houston Thomas have been named to the 2025 Academic All-District® Football teams as selected by College Sports Communicators to recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
Hogan boasts a 3.56 cumulative GPA as a multidisciplinary studies major. The Melbourne, Australia, native is a member of the UTSA Dean’s List and the 2024-25 American Conference All-Academic Team. A second-team all-league performer and Dave Campbell’s Texas All-Texas College Second Team selection, he averaged 45.7 yards on 54 punts in 2025, an average that now ranks second on the program’s single-season list. He logged 17 punts that went at least 50 yards, good for third on UTSA’s single-season chart, and pinned opponents inside their own 20-yard line 17 times, which is tied for eighth by a Roadrunner. For his two-year career, Hogan posted a 42.8 punting average, 33 punts inside the 20 and 22 punts of 50-plus yards including a career best of 60.
Thomas recorded a 3.53 cumulative GPA as a kinesiology major, recently earning his bachelor’s degree in December. The College Station native caught 34 passes for 347 yards and two touchdowns en route to earning third-team all-conference honors in 2025. He played in 42 games as a Roadrunner, including a dozen this past fall. He finished his UTSA career with 78 receptions, 918 receiving yards and five receiving TDs.
The CSC Academic All-America® program recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
