IRVING, Texas – The Roadrunners earned a final weekly conference award following the last week of 2025-26 competition, as officials from the conference office announced on Monday that UTSA men’s basketball rookie Mathéo Coffi has been named the season’s final American Conference Freshman of the Week.
Coffi (Strasbourg, France) paced the Roadrunners in multiple stretches of UTSA’s finale at Rice on Sunday. The French freshman forward shot 5-for-7 from the field and 2-for-3 from the perimeter to score a season-high 12 points, coupled with a season-best 14 rebounds for his first career double-double – logging the most rebounds by a Roadrunner this season. Coffi also dished out a pair of assists and blocked two Owl shots.
This is Coffi’s first career conference weekly award and UTSA’s second Freshman of the Week honor for the season.
