Bement, Illinois– UTSA Assistant Equipment Manager Georgia Davidson-Erwin was recognized by Riddell and the American Equipment Managers Association as the District 7 Rookie of the Year for her contributions across the 2025-26 athletic year.
“Georgia day in and day out is an incredible asset to our department and student athletes,” said Assistant Athletics Director/Equipment Operations, Connor Coker. “Her attention to detail and commitment to excellence is unmatched and elevates the department to new heights daily.”
Davidson-Erwin joined UTSA Athletics in May 2025 after heading to San Antonio from the University of Richmond, where she served as the athletic equipment manager and operations assistant for one year. With the Roadrunners, she assists Coker with the football team, while also working with baseball, softball, and men’s and women’s tennis.
Across her time in Virginia, she assisted with all 17 of Richmond's NCAA Division I sports, with a primary focus on football. Before her full-time promotion, she got her start in the industry as a student manager in 2021 and served as the Spiders' head student manager for two years.
Davidson-Erwin attended Richmond as an exchange student from Lancaster University in England, before fully transferring to complete her studies. At UR, she earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in Marketing.
