SANTO DOMINGO, D.R.– UTSA rising sophomore Adriana Robles averaged 7.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists, helping the Puerto Rican Basketball Federation U20 team to the Santo Domingo 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games 5x5 Women’s Basketball Championship on Sunday.
Puerto Rico sprinted through the group stage, opening with a 63-35 win against Nicaragua that saw a 10-point 10-rebound double-double for Robles. A 70-61 victory over Panama followed, ahead of an 86-46 thrashing of Costa Rica.
Robles posted seven points, seven rebounds and three assists in a 60-47 semifinal triumph over host-nation Dominican Republic, punching her ticket to the championship contest against Mexico. Robles then finished strong with eight points, six assists and three rebounds across a 57-44 victory in the title game.
