SAN ANTONIO – On Friday, UTSA Women’s Tennis commences its fall 2026 slate from across town. The Roadrunners will spend two days at St. Mary’s for the Kimbell Memorial Invitational from Rohrbach Stadium Tennis Complex. In addition to the hosting Rattlers, Ki Kroll’s bunch will square off against individuals from Texas Wesleyan, Our Lady of the Lake and UIW.
In total, seven Roadrunners will see action over the two-day tournament. Four flights, each consisting of eight student-athletes, will wrap up play on Saturday afternoon. Katsiaryna Dubik and Celine Absawi will represent their squad in Flight A with Giuliana Giardina and Laia Tarazona Peyro in Flight B. Flight C will consist of Akari Tomoyose and Aoka Nagasawa with Gabriela Felix da Silva in Flight D.

The Roadrunners return five members from a season ago: Celine Absawi, Giuliana Giardina, Aoka Nagasawa, Laia Tarazona Peyro and Akari Tomoyose. After prevailing in each of its first six home matches, the 2025-26 squad finished 9-2 at the UTSA Tennis Center in Kroll’s eighth campaign as head coach.
Over the summer, Kroll and associate head coach Bruno Campos announced the addition of three newcomers, rounding out the roster at eight. In addition to true freshman Katsiaryna Dubik, a pair of Division I transfers joined the club in Diana Khaydarshina and Gabriela Felix da Silva.
