UTSA has partnered with the City of San Antonio and Bexar County to construct the Park West Athletics Complex and Roadrunner Athletics Center of Excellence. Opened in 2013, Park West Athletics Complex is the home of the UTSA soccer and track & field/cross country programs. The multi-use facility is located on Kyle Seale Parkway approximately two miles west of UTSA’s Main Campus and features a large parking lot, a multipurpose building with a concession stand, restrooms, ticket windows and a training room, and two 1,000-seat stadiums conjoined with a press box featuring multiple booths, camera decks and a hospitality area.
The soccer venue features a Tifway 419 hybrid Bermuda grass sand-based field, a Daktronics scoreboard and Musco Sports lighting.
The track & field venue features a Beynon Sports BSS 1000, full-pour, polyurethane surface with Class 1 IAAF Certification, which allows UTSA to host meets at all levels, including Olympic competitions. The facility has nine running lanes, two pole vault lanes, four jump pits, a water jump pit and separate throwing areas for all throwing events. The throwing areas and track infield feature Tifway 419 hybrid Bermuda grass sand-based fields.
UTSA Park West Fieldhouse officially opened its doors in July 2023. The $8 million, 14,325 square-foot facility includes a multipurpose community room, locker rooms, team lounges, a sports medicine center and equipment area.
