Lytle had a record-breaking year as he recorded several single-season records, among which were: most games played (62), most games started (62) and most at-bats (268) … This season he recorded the second most hits in program history with 98 … Lytle tied the third most RBI record with 68 … He notched the seventh most total bases in program … he tied the tenth most stolen bases with 17 … Lytle slashed .366/.560/.424 on the season … Lytle recorded four hits against Tulane on Apr. 19 for game high … against Wichita St. on Apr. 12 Lytle had four RBIs for a game high … On Mar. 1 against Youngstown State, Lytle notched three doubles for a game high … Lytle finished the season inside the top 100 in the nation in batting average, doubles, hits, hits per game, runs, RBI, runs per game, sacrifice flies, total bases and toughest to strike out.
2024 (Junior)
The AAC Newcomer of the Year had an outstanding year, leading the team in hits (85), doubles (18), triples (3), home runs (11) and RBIs (43) … was not just a threat at the plate as he racked up 17 stolen bases on 18 attempts … was named AAC Player of the Week on Apr. 1 … recorded a season-high four hits Apr. 12 against Memphis in that same series Lytle had a season-high two home runs on Apr. 14... Lytle was also named to the AAC All-Academic Team.
Prior to UTSA
Oregon (2022-23): Played in six games and made one start before suffering a season-ending injury.
San Jacinto JC (2019-22): Played three seasons at San Jacinto Community College … batted .339 (152-for-449) with 19 home runs, 25 doubles, six triples, 95 RBI, 123 runs and 34 stolen bases in career... A two-time all-conference and all-region pick, including first team honors in 2022.
High School: Attended Pearland High School in Pearland, Texas … named a Perfect Game Preseason All-American and all-region honorable mention selection as a senior … earned all-state honorable mention recognition and was selected first-team 6A UIL as a junior … selected to the all-tournament team at the 17U Perfect Game World Series … picked to the all-tournament team at the WWBA World Championship as a sophomore.
