Prior to UTSA
USC Upstate (2022-23): Earned 29 starts in 43 total games played… recorded a .267 batting average with 32 hits, 17 runs, 25 runs and 10 extra-base hits… picked up three three-hit games… went 3-for-6 against Western Carolina on April 4… had a perfect 3-for-3 game with a run and two RBI against Presbyterian on April 30… went 3-for-4 with three runs against Queens on May 3… earned a 4.0 GPA in the spring semester.
Temple JC (2020-22): Did not appear in any games as a sophomore… named to the Texas/New Mexico NJCAA All-Star Game as a freshman… appeared in 51 games… posted a three-slash line of .316/.406/.449… collected 46 runs, 50 hits, 11 doubles, two triples, two home runs, and 42 RBI… recorded 14 multi-hit and 11 multi-RBI games… posted a career-long eight-game hitting streak and a career-long 12-game reached base streak.
High School: Attended Georgetown (Texas) High School… holds the Eagles’ program single season records for doubles and RBI… named University Interscholastic League Class 5A First Team All-State as a junior in 2018… named UIL Class 5A Region 5 District 25 Player of the Year in 2018… helped GHS to a 2018 UIL Class 5A State Runner-Up finish… named UIL Class 5A Second Team All-State as a sophomore in 2017… named UIL Class 5A Honorable Mention All-State as a freshman in 2016.
Personal: His father Mike Tilson played seven seasons of professional hockey with the Topeka Scarecrows (Central Hockey League), Fort Worth Brahmas (Western Professional Hockey League/CHL), and Corpus Christi Icerays/Rayz (CHL).
