Jerry Patterson was hired at UTSA Athletics as assistant equipment manager in Aug. 2024.
Patterson came to San Antonio following a one-year stint as men’s basketball equipment assistant at the University of Texas. He also served the Longhorns as analytics assistant, not only servicing the team’s equipment needs, but helping with scouting and internal data reports. During his time in Austin, Patterson was also a teaching assistant, teaching and evaluating course performance on basketball and weightlifting for over 300 undergraduate UT students.
Patterson earned his undergraduate degree in Exercise and Sports Science, Health and Fitness Management with a minor in Business Administration from Texas State. He went on to earn his graduate degree at Texas in Sport Management in May 2024.
