SAN ANTONIO —
The UTSA men's and women's track & field teams took time out of their busy schedules on Sunday to help pick up litter along UTSA Boulevard, which is the main thoroughfare to the Main Campus.
It was yet another example of the athletics department's ongoing commitment to serving San Antonio.
Head coach Aaron Fox said he appreciated the efforts of both teams, especially on what was scheduled to be an off day.
"We really feel it's important for us to show that we not only care about UTSA but the city of San Antonio, as well," Fox said. "The kids enjoy being a part of the community and it sends a great message. It wasn't the best weather in the world, but for these kids to do this on their day off really shows the commitment they have to this city."
