SAN ANTONIO — UTSA wil continue its nine-game homestand with a three-game series with South Dakota State beginning at 6 p.m. on Friday at Roadrunner Field.
The Roadrunners (5-3) will be looking to get back on the winning track following Wednesday's 6-5, 12-inning setback against Dallas Baptist. UTSA has now played three extra-inning games this season.
South Dakota State enters the series with a matching 5-3 record after splitting a pair of contests with both Texas Southern and Jackson State to start the season followed by taking three out of four contests from Alabama A&M this past weekend. Al Robbins has been the team's most dynamic hitter, going 10-for-24 (.417) to start the year with four doubles and 11 runs scored.
This will be the first-ever meetings between the two programs and UTSA’s first matchup with a team from the state of South Dakota.
