SAN ANTONIO — The UTSA men's track & field program will open its indoor campaign at this weekend's Texas A&M Team Invitational. The meet, which begins on Friday evening with the distance medley relay, will be contested at the Gilliam Indoor Track Stadium in College Station.
The vast majority of the action is scheduled to begin at noon on Saturday with the field events and a rolling schedule will follow throughout the day. Running events are scheduled to begin at 12:40 p.m. with the 60m preliminary heats.
Athletes from Abilene Christian, Baylor, Stephen F. Austin, Texas, Texas State, UT Arlington and will compete against the Roadrunners and host Aggies.
UTSA welcomes back 18 returning letterwinners from last year's squad that finished second at the Conference USA Championships and 22 newcomers also highlight the roster for 15th-year head coach Aaron Fox.
Friday will mark the first of five outings leading up to this year's league meet, which is scheduled for Feb. 18-19 in Birmingham, Ala.
