SAN ANTONIO — The UTSA women's track & field team will open its indoor campaign at this weekend's Texas A&M Team Invitational. The meet, which begins on Friday evening with the distance medley relay, will be contested at the Gilliam Indoor Track Stadium in College Station.
The vast majority of the action is scheduled to begin at noon on Saturday with the field events and a rolling schedule will follow throughout the day. Running events are scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. with the 60m preliminary heats.
Athletes from Abilene Christian, Baylor, Stephen F. Austin, Texas, Texas State, UT Arlington and will compete against the Roadrunners and host Aggies.
UTSA welcomes back just seven returning letterwinners from last year's squad and 16 newcomers also highlight the roster for ninth-year head coach Aaron Fox.
This weekend will mark the first of five outings leading up to this year's Conference USA Championships, which are scheduled for Feb. 18-19 in Birmingham, Ala.
