SAN ANTONIO — The UTSA men's and women's cross country teams will participate in Texas A&M's Arturo Barrios Invitational on Saturday, October 16, at Dale Watts Cross Country Course.
The men will compete in the 8k race scheduled for 9 a.m. followed by the women's 6k at 9:45 a.m.
The Roadrunners will compete against 37 women's teams and 35 men's teams. The loaded field features 11 women's and 10 men's teams that rank in the top 15 of the latest United States Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association South Central Regional Rankings.
In UTSA's last meet at the Texas A&M Invitational on Sept. 25, the women took fourth place with four Roadrunners placing in the top 50. Maddie Boswell claimed sixth place in the 5k with a time of 17:54.2, followed by Abby Balli in 14th at 18:25.5, Chante Dixon in 39th (19:37.0) and Lily Morrill in 45th place (19:50.4).
The men finished in seventh place in their last race in College Station with Jake Smith crossing in 39th place in the 8k with a time of 25:11.7. Harrison Wade followed in 46th with a clocking a 25:27.5.
