DALLAS – Elyssa Coleman earned her first Conference USA accolade with a Freshman of the Week honor on Monday, announced by the conference office.
Coleman is the first Roadrunner to receive conference recognition this season.
The Houston, Texas, native recorded 26 points, 19 boards, three blocks and two steals this past week. She recorded her first career double-double, posting 14 points and 12 rebounds to help UTSAs defeat UIW in Karen Aston's first win as the head coach.
The freshman has seen action in all four contests this season. Coleman currently leads the team in in field goal percentage at .615 and field goals made with 4.0 per game this season. She ranks second on the team in scoring with 39 points, scoring average at 9.8 per game, rebounding with 26 and three blocked shots.
