Boca Raton, Fla. – Tiago Torres (Lisbon, Portugal) gains his 10th singles win of the season, but No. 54 FAU posted a 5-2 win over the Roadrunners, on Thursday morning at the Kimberly V. Strauss Tennis Center.
Torres won on court 3 in singles, 6-4, 6-2 against Nicolas Jaoun of FAU.
In doubles, Sebastian Rodriguez (Trujillo, Peru) and Torres claimed their 7th win as a team as they defeated Hunter Robbins and Finn Stodder, 6-4 on court 2.
"We have been facing tough competition." Head coach Sergey Avdeyev said. "We can play close matches with these ranked teams but have not found a way to win. We are looking to bounce back tomorrow against Cleveland State."
The Roadrunners will face the Vikings tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. at the Kimberly V. Strauss Tennis Center.
