The Roadrunners are coming off a busy weekend that saw them combine for 14 podium finishes at three different meets in Houston, Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Flagstaff, Arizona.
Jemuel Miller won the men's triple jump for the second straight week last Saturday at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Invitational at the Albuquerque Convention Center, as the sophomore All-American skipped to a Conference USA-leading distance of 15.73 meters (51-7.25) to remain undefeated in his specialty event this season.
Meanwhile at the Lumberjack Team Challenge in Flagstaff, Jack Turner and Joel McFarlane finished 1-2 in the men's long jump. Turner, a four-time C-USA champion in the multi-events, leaped 7.34 meters (24-1) for gold and McFarlane earned the silver medal with a mark of 7.25m (23-9.5).
