BREAKDOWN OF THE GAME
The Patriots took a steady 8-0 lead after scattering eight across the top of the first and second innings. In the bottom of the second, the Roadrunners got on the board with a solo home run by Killeen. The senior hit a home run in every single game of this series for the Roadrunners against the Patriots.

UTSA cut DBU's lead to 8-2 in the bottom of the third as a fielder's choice by Matt King brought home Taylor Smith.

A home run by the Patriots in the top of the fourth gave DBU the 9-2 lead, but that would be the last time the Patriots scored.

The Roadrunners scattered four runs across the fifth and sixth innings on a couple groundouts and wild pitches.

Despite cutting DBU's lead to just three runs, UTSA struggled to produce with runners on in the final three innings stranding seven. UTSA fell to DBU, 9-6, in the series finale at Roadrunner Field.
