IRVING, Texas – On Monday, the American Athletic Conference released their weekly women’s basketball honors, with redshirt senior Jordyn Jenkins winning her third Player of the Week award of the 2024-25 campaign.
She was chosen after helping the Roadrunners make history, as the squad holds a 12-2 record for the best start in program history, and a 3-0 conference mark is the first since the 2009-10 campaign for UTSA. Jenkins started the week scoring 16 with seven rebounds across a win against UAB before charting 30 points and seven boards in a road victory over Tulsa. She shot 53.3% from the field, went 11-of-12 from the free-throw line, and blocked four shots for the squad.
She has now won nine total Player of the Week awards across three conferences (4x CUSA, 1x Pac-12, 4x AAC) in her collegiate career.
