UTSA and UTA will play a 6 p.m. inside Allan Saxe Softball Field

SAN ANTONIO—The UTSA softball team is set to visit UT Arlington on Tuesday for a nonconference bout at 6 p.m. at Allan Saxe Softball Field.

The Roadrunners (12-10, 0-3 The American) will look to avoid a four-game skid after falling thrice to East Carolina last time out.

Despite the results, junior Madison Hornback had a solid weekend at the plate, posting a .750 batting average with a double and an RBI. Sophomore Kalee Rochinski, meanwhile, hit .275 and scored three runs for the squad.

The Mavericks (12-9, 2-1 WAC) picked up a pair of wins over Utah Tech over the weekend, and Kailee Bautista has starred for the squad with a .573 on-base percentage, ranking 25th nationally.

She maintains a .385 AVG with seven doubles and 15 RBIs, while Talia Maldonado has launched a team-high four home runs.

The Mavericks pitching staff holds a 4.23 ERA as Emille Hoelscher, Jessica Adams, and Abi Gutierrez all own three wins on the season.
