SAN ANTONIO— The UTSA Roadrunners are set to compete in the Austin Regional as the No. 2 seed, with their first game being against Kansas State at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 30, at UFCU Disch-Falk Field in Austin, Texas.
This is the Roadrunners’ fourth regional appearance in program history, first time making the tournament via an at-large bid. Playing in the Austin Regionals with UTSA are the first-seeded Texas Longhorns, the third-seeded Kansas State and the fourth-seeded Houston Christian Huskies.
The Regional is a four-team double-elimination bracket, with Texas being the top seed. Texas is set to face Houston Christian in the first round. The winner of that game will move onto the winner’s side of the bracket, and the loser will go down to an elimination game. The same goes for UTSA’s game against Kansas State.
This will be UTSA’s fifth all-time meeting against Kansas State, with both teams having two wins. The Roadrunners hold a 16-4 record against Houston Christian, with their last win coming on Feb. 25, 2025, when they won 12-1. UTSA is 7-26 against the Longhorns, earning their seventh win this year, which came in an 8-7 victory.
Each game of the regional will be broadcast on ESPN+. Live stats of each game can be found here.
