Cameron Miles joined the Roadrunner staff as an assistant coach in April 2021.

Miles comes to the Alamo City after spending the last two seasons at the College of Charleston in the same position.
 
Prior to working with the Cougars, Miles spent the 2016-19 seasons at Lamar where he served as the director of operations before being promoted to assistant coach in April of 2018.
 
With the Cardinals, Miles helped established one of the most success women’s basketball programs in the Southland Conference. In the 2018-19 season, Lamar posted a 24-7 overall record, won the regular-season title and made its second-straight Women’s NIT appearance. Miles was part of a staff that led the Cardinals to national postseason tournaments for three consecutive seasons.
 
Miles comes from a family of basketball players. His sister, Ashlan, played at Lamar and is now the girl’s head basketball coach at McKinney Christian Academy. His brother, C.J., is in his 15th season in the NBA and his older sister, Andrea, played basketball at Rogers State.
 
The Dallas, Texas, native played for four years at the University of San Diego where he netted a career-high 15 points against San Francisco and made an appearance in 114 games.
 
Miles played high school basketball at Dallas Skyline High School, earning all-state honors as a senior after averaging 15.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 8.0 assists per game.
 
He also served on the coaching staff of Heroes Elite, an AAU team in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
 
Miles earned a degree in ethnic studies from USD.
